You Put Yourself in That Box

It’s a box–square edges, tight corners, and a lid.

If you put someone or something in it, there’s not much room for them to grow. If you have no imagination, then all you’ll see is those tight corners, box sides, and lid. If someone puts you there, what do you do?

Throw a temper tantrum?

Get angry?

Complain to your ten closest friends?

Or do you work at thinking outside the box?

Sometimes, we’re all put in boxes and we have to get creative. Doing one of the above reactions to being put in a situation like that doesn’t help your cause or endear you to people. It just makes you difficult.

Use, to the best of your ability, what you’re given to make the broadest impact. One push can break through the barriers. It may be that you are boxing yourself in.
