Picture Journal: In God’s Heart

In God’s Heart, I am…

…expected to open my heart to Him, for change, to grow, and to love better. Like the fall when trees experience death, so must we–to ourselves.

…expected to live in truth; not in the reality I invent for myself. Things are not ideal in this world. However, there is joy in even the hardships if we want to see it.

…I am cherished. He shows me that I am cherished by the unexpected joys found even in the smallest of moments.

…I am part of his family.

…I am led. Even when I can’t see very far, He can see all.

….I surrender my will. Unless we surrender, our rebellion only leads us deeper into darkness.

What are you running from today that keeps you from seeing who you are in God’s heart?

  1. Beautiful! Whenever I feel like running, I’ll remember to surrender instead. No sense using my energy to run when I can rest. Oh, thank you for this Nikole.

  2. What a powerful question you’ve posed. Yes, we often run away from seeing how God truly views — and accepts! — us.

Yes to this: “expected to live in truth; not in the reality I invent for myself. Things are not ideal in this world. However, there is joy in even the hardships if we want to see it.”

Thank you for these words today.

  3. I am expected.
So many full thoughts here, Nikki. The last one says it all though…expected to surrender my will. That’s a hard one but one I want to continue growing toward.

  4. Excellent photos Nikole (you and Tony).

I am running from the misguided thought that I am too busy. Too busy to help someone else. Too busy to start a new project. Too busy to listen. Upon reflection, what is so important that I am always too busy?
